And now for something completely different! A hike up Crater Mountain.
This will involve driving up a steep gravel road (almost four wheel drive but not quite) to try and find the trail starting point. This area has been logged and it may not be easy to find the trailhead. If we find it, then follows a fairly easy trail walk onto an open ridge and then a shorter but fairly steep hike up to a summit pond. Then we can wander along a beautiful open ridge with fantastic views. No dogs please as there may be mountain sheep, bears, cougars, and even squirrels that don’t enjoy being chased.
Please wear stout footwear, bring water and a lunch, and expect to be out all day!
Meet at Riverside on Saturday, June 10th at 8:30 am.
Hope to see you there! If not, John will go on his own!
