DESCRIPTION:Jade Spruyt is a wildlife biologist who has worked with a varie
 ty of taxa including reptiles\, amphibians\, and small mammals. Originally
  from the prairies\, she moved to BC to pursue her Master of Science degre
 e at Thompson Rivers University. Her research assesses the effectiveness o
 f mitigation measures at reducing Western Rattlesnake roadkill in the Whit
 e Lake Basin of the South Okanagan. She will present on the different spec
 ies of snakes in the area\, how to identify them\, tips for when you encou
 nter a snake\, threats they face\, and her research findings.
