This area is an interesting to explore. We will be doing a hike (5km or less) that circles around the summit, perhaps visit the summit itself or visit a small lake in the general area. The hikes are easy to moderate. Hopefully, there will still be plenty of flora. It is a good area for photos, especially of Snowy Mountain & the Okanagan Valley.

Kobau Park is on the way to Osoyoos, off Hwy 3 near Richter Pass. The road is best driven by a 4 X 4 or SUV with high clearance. However, it can also be driven by 2 wheel drive because it has been done before (depends on whether Hwys has graded the road). We will be driving our small truck with no room for passengers. If you are able to provide a ride, let me know.

Carpooling is desirable and passengers who get a ride are being asked to donate $20 to the driver. We feel that this is not an unreasonable request due to the price of gas. Where else would you get such a great deal for transportation?

Please let me know asap, if you are coming and whether you can provide a ride. By doing so we can arrange rides ahead of time.

Bring lunch, water, appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, etc. and if you are catching a ride, $20.

Meet at Billy’s @9:00 am. Sunday, July 10, 2022 No dogs.
