20 mile creek—Hedley
This outing is to accommodate those people interested in attending Dr. Archibald’s presentation at the museum, Sunday, at 3:00 pm. I would strongly recommend this event…Dr. Archibald’s presentations are always informative.
PARTICULARS:
DESCRIPTION: Of course, we are not doing 20 miles! Just a few kilometres of it. It is a walk up the canyon encountering mining relics of the past…finishing with a meander through the town of Hedley.
DATE: SUNDAY, FEB. 04, 2024
MEETING PLACE & DEPARTURE TIME:
Riverside parking lot; 9:30 am
HIKE DURATION:
2 to 3 hours
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:
easy / moderate
OTHER: Lunch, water, appropriate clothing, snow cleats (if you have some). It is hard to say whether snowshoes are needed or not. At the moment no but if it snows heavily, yes. Have to wait and see what the weather brings. Don’t forget to give a donation to the driver if you are catching a ride to Hedley.
