Parking the cars on the West China Creek Road, the hike begins with an uphill climb. The hike follows a deactivated old road which eventually leads to the top of a ridge. Enroute you will see some magnificent giant ponderosa pines. From this ridge you get an extensive view of the Tulameen River Valley that stretches northwest to Coalmont & Tulameen. It is striking scenery. As you loop back toward the radio tower you are equally rewarded with an impressive view of the Similkameen River Valley. A narrow trail along the ridge offers a constant opportunity to view the valley. A short steep climb accesses an old road that leads to the radio tower. From the tower it’s mostly downhill to reach the cars again.
